It’s hard to believe it was just a year and a half ago that I was packing my truck (and a Uhaul…) and moving from NYC (my home away from home/RI for the past 7 years)…
…to move to an apartment in Providence, after winning a year contract to co-host “The Rhode Show” weekday mornings on WPRI12.
Soon after my 1 year was up, my AMAZING family helped me pack my truck (and another Uhaul!), again and drove everything down to the other end of the state where I grew up.
And so, for the last few months, as I’ve pursued my on-camera career by networking like crazy, auditioning and contributing to different media outlets…. I’ve also traveled a bunch, taken on new workouts like never before and have had awesome QT with my folks, friends & family at special occasions, holidays and celebrations…
NOW — I’m off to Denver, Colorado!! For new opportunities, including working as on-air talent for KDVR/FOX 31 Denver and KWGN/Colorado’s Own. I visited them recently and I cannot wait to get to work with everyone there! Denver’s an incredible market, so I’m very excited to gain incredible experience!!
And so the road trip begins; From Rhode Island all the way to Denver with some stops in between. But, this time, with just my truck… no Uhaul… :-0 !!! But, I packed it so well, I feel like I could be a professional tetras player, if there ever was one!
Plus, my mom wanted to come with me!! How cool is that!?! She’s been making hotel plans for us (score!) and made, oh just a few trips to the library… hmm I wonder if she’s just as excited… 😉
First overnight stop is Jersey, then Ohio. I’ve already started posting on social media — AND collecting hotel toiletries for RI nonprofit, Amenity Aid . So, please keep coming back to the blog and follow me on social media. But first, tell me, where have you road tripped???

Though we’ve never met, and do not know each other, I am so excited for you, Meaghan. I’ve rooted for you since you auditioned for the Rhode Show, and I enjoyed every moment you were on the air. I just know you will do fantastic in Colorado (our loss is a big gain for them!)
As for road trips, I’ve done many. The last big one was when hubby and I rented an RV, loaded up our 3 dogs and headed to Nashville and Myrtle Beach. This was certainly a first for us and hope it won’t be the last. We both love to travel and are looking forward to many more road trips in the future.
I hope all goes well for you on that long and winding road to Denver. I’ll be keeping an eye on your blog and facebook page for updates, not to mention living vicariously thru you. (I’m an adventurous soul at heart but sadly tethered to my home by circumstance.)
