What an honor it was to have a music legend join me live in studio today! Thanks to my friend Caswell Cooke, Denny stopped by WPRI-12’s TV station to do a quick interview with me and then perform for our Rhode Show viewers!
Denny Laine was an original member of The Moody Blues, singing their first hit “Go Now” in 1964, and was a member of Wings with Paul McCartney from 1971 to 1981!
Denny performed a “Band on the Run” for us, which is from the classic album by the same name that was released by Wings. (Also one of my favorite songs out of many awesome hits on the soundtrack for “Outside Providence” — that was shot right here in Rhody.)
It’s the 40th Anniversary tour of Band on the Run and he’s performing locally with a couple of other well-known musicians. Catch their next live performances on Thu, Nov 14 at 7:30PM at The Knickerbocker (Tickets, only $15)
