For today’s show, I was out live at the Providence Performing Arts Center ahead of the Festival Ballet Providence’s biggest productions of the year, The Nutcracker.
In addition to seeing a sneak peek performance, I spoke with Mary Ann Mayer, the show’s director , as well as two of the lead performers: 16 year-old Jane Schiawone who plays Clara and the professional dancer, Elizabeth Mochizuki who plays the Sugar Plum Fairy.
The magic behind The Nutcracker is one of those stories that gets you into the Christmas spirit. And you can go see it at the PPAC on December 20 at 8 p.m., Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Dec. 22 at 1:30 p.m.
